What's New in the HRCA

The HRCA has been used by hundreds of companies since 2005. In 2010 a leaner HRCA - version 2.0 - was launched, offering updated and streamlined questions and new programme functionalities to make companies' assessment processes easier. The HRCA now contains under 200 questions, and these can be screened and tailored using the programe, to develop a checklist that is of a size that companies can manage.

New functionalities include:

  • The “Build a Company Checklist” Wizard allows companies to tailor the database to the company operation in a few easy steps – online
  • Country human rights risk criteria are integrated into the “Build a Company Checklist” Wizard
  • HRCA version 2.0 provides a suggested answer to the questions according to the company's answers to the indicators
  • Companies can administer their own accounts, create users, and assign questions to staff members in individualised checklists
  • All checklists and reports are exportable to Microsoft Word, so that company managers can work in Word offline or use the programme online
